Problem Statement

Online video calls

Technology makes it easy to keep in touch with loved ones while being apart. App Stores are full of popular messaging apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, Webex, etc.) to start chatting and video calling. We are more connected than ever before...

But there's a catch...

Unfortunately not everyone has the necessary skills to work with smart devices. People with mental and/or physical disabilities (Parkison/Dementia) can struggle with handling those devices (e.g. to small buttons, charging, unlocking devices, swipe movements, getting in wrong menus) resulting in unnecessary stress for them. Technical illiteration is especially high among elderly people. Research showed that more than 20% of the elderly has never used the internet before.
